All our payment methods are handled by accredited Payment Gateway Providers. We only hold information pertaining to your donation which allows us to determine the status of your membership (eg. Current or Lapsed) and we never keep details of your Credit Card numbers, Bank Account or other 'delicate' payment details.
All payments, including Direct Debits are processed, securely (using an encrypted connection), by the Charities Aid Foundation. All providers, as well as ourselves, adhere to the 1998 Data Protection Act.
In order to become a Friend of the Hurtwood, we ask a number of questions of which some are mandatory to answer. Your details are kept in a secure database and are essential in allowing us to administer your account.
The optional information, eg. Interests (on the same sign-up form), allows us to gain a better understanding of our members.
We never share this information with 3rd parties and, unless you have opted out, will only use your contact details to keep you informed of your membership and any Friends of the Hurtwood news. Your contact details & preferences can be updated by selecting 'Update My Details' from the user menu on the left.
We do not store any of your Credit Card information or Bank details. The database that stores your contact information is protected using the latest up-to-date security technology and employs a high level of encryption during any transactions of personal information.
